Humanity Consideration Consultants Announces Three Recipients of The D’Anna C. Howard Legacy Scholarship
Honoring lived expertise and ADA values, awards go to students from Gwinnett Technical College (GA) and Northwest Missouri State University (MO)
ATLANTA, GA — September 10, 2025 — Humanity Consideration Consultants LLC (Humanity Consideration Consultants) today announced the three recipients of its ADA 35th Anniversary Educational Scholarship — The D’Anna C. Howard Legacy Award. This year’s cohort includes two students from Gwinnett Technical College (Georgia) and one student from Northwest Missouri State University (Missouri).
The Legacy Scholarship recognizes scholars who have a disability and whose lived expertise, leadership, and commitment to accessibility align with the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Applicants were evaluated using a published rubric that weights Personal Statement (40%), Alignment with ADA values (30%), and Potential Impact (30%).
“These scholars embody what we mean by centering humanity, turning barriers into access for themselves and their communities. They are preparing to show up for others in their future careers to ensure equal access,” said Cheryl Ann Frazier, Founder & CEO of Humanity Consideration Consultants. “We are proud to invest in their present accomplishments and potential.”
Each recipient will receive a $350 pilot-year micro-grant to support educational expenses such as books, adaptive technology, certification fees, or other disability-related supports.
Named in honor of D’Anna C. Howard—a disability-rights storyteller, mother of four, and advocate for inclusive access—the Legacy Scholarship reflects Humanity Consideration Consultants’ mission to elevate organizations and communities from compliance to transformation by centering humanity.
